Gameday Oct 27

The hot topic tomorrow will be SEC East upsets. Tennessee visits South Carolina and will likely be the last opportunity Coach Dooley has to make a case for his continued employment in Knoxville. A loss here isn't the end of the world for the Vols, as the remainder of their schedule is very favorable, and could land them a bowl appearance; but finishing the season without any major SEC victories is something the Vol nation has certainly grown tired of.

South Carolina seemed to be rolling earlier in the year after steamrolling the Georgia Bulldogs, but as the Gamecocks often do, they followed up a great performance with a loss to LSU, and a dismal performance in the Swamp against Florida a week later.

Tennessee has a shot, but it seems unlikely that the Ole Ball Coach will allow his team to drop three in a row. Still, I like the Vols chances, and I'm rooting for Dooley to keep his job. A win here may or may not be enough. Only time will tell.

This year's trip to the cocktail party sees Georgia and Florida battling it out once again in another classic rivalry in the SEC.

The Bulldogs, who looked strong earlier in the season, fell flat on their faces against South Carolina, and opened the door for many to once again question whether or not Mark Richt could win the big game. Well, he'll get one more chance this year to prepare his team and silence the naysayers once and for all.

This game is huge for Georgia, and I think they get it done. I'm not sold on Florida as the number two team in the country. Not, yet.
